Macro Monday, Feb. 1, 2010
After prompting from a few others bloggers, and finally getting myself set up, I am going to attempt to participate in Sunday Stills and Macro Monday. I say attempt because I will probably forget about it more than I will remember. But, I'll try.
Since its February (what?! when?!) I thought I'd show y'all what it looks right about now in our neck of the woods. This photograph was actually taken a year ago, with my then brand-new camera, one morning between doing dishes and getting dressed for work.
Yep, that's pretty typical in February. The roses are starting to bud again, hence the red, new leaves and each morning the yard is covered with a heavy layer of dew. But the sun's coming up, and there are few clouds in the sky. Makes a great setting for photography, granted I actually got out of bed early enough to spare some time.
I can't guarantee anything, but I think I'll enjoy these weekly assignments and will try my hardest. Hope you enjoy them too!

oh, that is just beautiful. That does not look like new leaves. It is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's really beautiful! At first I thought it was frost, which was confusing because I know you are in California. I mean, how weird would it be if you get more frost than we do? Although this year, that might be possible! I'm giving up any hope of having a real winter!! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous shot! I think you will enjoy doing this since you like taking photographs. I can't believe it got that cold there!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture - and welcome - I've only taken part in a few weeks and have enjoyed it and love all the inspiring pics of others...
