Ranch Sorting Dedux

Since I haven't seen my horse in months (I've visited her, and touched her, but not seen her) I had to dig up these old pics to remember what she looks like!

Then I remembered that was I going to share these with you, since its pretty cool what we are lucky enough to be able to do with our horses where we board them. If you can't remember what Ranch Sorting is all about, you can read my introduction here.

There's also a a few pics of Bella gettin' down.

Cows. You must always start with cows.

We even get to eat at these shindigs.

Maria sticks her nose up in the background. Apparently she thought the bacon-wrapped sausage smelt yummy.

Later in the evening, we had to turn the lights on, but it didn't slow us down. Please excuse the darkness of these photos. (Psst, I don't have Photoshop.)

Is it just me, or does Maria look gaited in all these photos?

IMG_4223
I'd definitely say gaited.

Bella's turn again.

Holding the "gate". That'a girl.

I don't think so cow.

We haven't been able to Ranch Sort in over a month now; the December event was rained out. But I do have a few more past nights to share with you, so stay tuned.

In ending, a couple of my favorites photos from the night:

  1. Great pictures, looks like fun! I've always wanted to try that. My horse is fine with goats and deer....but I'm not so sure what he'd do if he faced a cow! Refresh my memory, why haven't you seen your horse? Are they boarded far from you?

  2. I love ranch sorting. I have been to one to watch. Would love to try it someday, but don't think my horses would like the cows! Maybe I will have to turn my Mustang into a cowhorse!
Good to see Bella again! Haven't seen her in a couple years, since I was in the desert. She looks like she is doing really well!

  3. Pony Girl, haven't seen my horse because it DARK when I get off work, and they don't have lights where she lives. So I go visit her, and just feel around in the dark for her! Have no idea how she looks right now!
